DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE TO THURSDAY 23RD MARCH… \nWelcome to our 2023 season taster and what a venue we have to start with. Ilkley golf club is one of the premier clubs in Yorkshire\, steeped in history & boasting famous members from the professional golfing world. \nOur day will start at 0930 when we shall meet for bacon sandwiches with tea & coffee. Our round of golf will commence from 1030.  The competition will be full society handicap stableford. \nIf anyone requires a buggy then please get in touch with me and I will contact the club accordingly. \nThe cost will be £37 plus + £5 sweep.

DESCRIPTION:Normanton is a great course located in the village of Stanley near Wakefield and is a good test of golf for all abilities and handicaps. \nPlease arrive around 11 o’clock for bacon sandwiches with tea/coffee & the tee is reserved from 1155.   \nThe competition will be 18 hole stableford  \nThe cost will be £30 plus £5 for the sweep once again. \nI have reserved one buggy and if you require one then please let me know so I can arrange if more than one is required.

SUMMARY:Captains Day @ Woolley Park
DESCRIPTION:This event is sure to be the highlight of our season and will be hosted by our captain Alan Ashbee.  He has chosen Woolley Park for his event and I’m sure you will turn out in great numbers to support him. \nThe day will start with us meeting at 0930 for coffee and probably the best bacon sandwiches in the world before we head out for the 9 hole\, par 3 competition at 1030 Afterwards we will have lunch followed with our 18 hole competition which will begin at 1230. After we have played to the absolute best of our ability we will return to the clubhouse for a 2 course evening meal and the day will finish with the prize giving and handicap banter I’m sure!! \nThe menu for lunch will be ham salad sandwiches and maybe chips if Alan can persuade the club.  Dinner will be steak pie with Bakewell tart to finish.  \nThe cost for the whole day will be £50\, Plus £5 Sweep. \nAnyone requiring a buggy can you please contact me.  \n

DESCRIPTION:*POSTPONED UNTIL FRIDAY 18TH JUNE.* \nThis event is an 18 hole competition with the first tee booked for 12 o’clock. Please arrive by 11 o’clock for coffee & bacon sandwiches before we commence the golf. The cost for the day is £35 plus sweep. \n There is 1 buggy booked for the round so please advice as soon as possible if we need more. \nHowley Hall is within minutes of the M62 and M1 on the outskirts of Leeds – it’s the ideal golf course in a perfect location for golf societies and visiting parties. \nThere is always a warm welcome at Howley Hall. More than a great golf course\, with probably the best four finishing holes in Yorkshire\, it is the perfect venue for all occasions. The club’s function rooms can be hired for a wide variety of events including Business Meetings and Seminars\, Special Events & Celebrations and Wedding Receptions. \nFounded in 1900\, with course improvements advised on by Dr Alister Mackenzie in 1913\, Howley Hall is now the home of the PGA in Yorkshire Open Championship and is considered one of the finest championship courses in Yorkshire. \nThe course improvement programme carried out over recent years has transformed the already challenging 18 hole layout. DESCRIPTION:This event is a 27 hole competition with the first tee booked for 1030. Please arrive by 0930 for coffee & bacon sandwiches before we commence the golf.  After the morning 9 holes there will be lunch of soup and sandwiches followed by the afternoon 18 holes. To finish the day there will be a 2 course evening meal. The menu will be finalised in due course. \n It is a super full day out with both rounds counting towards the final results and so every shot counts on this great course where we are always well looked after year after year and is well worth the trip up the A1.  This is possibly the best value day we have all season and so please do come along and show your support. \nPLEASE CONTACT THE CLUB DIRECTLY TO BOOK A BUGGY.
