Minutes if the 2024 AGM held at Low Laithes Golf Club on 16th September. Meeting opened at 1245.

Present: Ian Dyson, Alan Ashbee, Lee Worth, Lee Wetherill, Luke Wirrolow, Richard Teale, Aidy Hope, Roger Worth, Craig Allen, Nigel Owram, Wayne Jackson, Nick Mcevoy, Karl Clarke, Kev Harper & Paul Kilburn.

Apologies from, Chris Copestake, James Hardy, Pete Ferris, Billy Milne & Paul Huddlestone.

The 2023 Minutes were proposed as a true reflection by Roger Worth and seconded by Luke Wirrolow.

SECRETARIES REPORT:-

Thanks to the continued support of all the players and welcome to the new players who have joined us this season, hope you enjoyed & will attend in the future. Once again I’d like to thank the golf clubs for their hospitality and help with the fixture changes. This season has been the toughest to organise yet. Covid was one thing with the obvious restrictions but this year’s weather has played havoc with our fixtures and then the sad passing of Dave Saynor meant we had to alter another fixture so we could pay our respects at his funeral.

Thankfully the golf clubs did their best to accommodate us and we had a pretty successful season.
Attendances were on par with last season with an average of 18 per fixture over the 6 we have played.
I have to apologise for one mistake….it was suggested that this season we play one event as a pairs event but with the rescheduling dilemma, I completely forgot all about it. If one is wanted next season then I will do my best to get that sorted.
Handicaps will continue and follow on for another 2 years until the next reset.
I will of course continue in the secretaries role if required!!

A cover charge was added to each round to cover website related costs.
The net amount increased our funds by £65 this year.

These will continue and be rolled over to 2025 as part of the 3 year reset. Next season will be year 2.

2025 Fixtures and Probable Dates :-

23rd April @ TBC

13th or 20th May @ Bingley st. Ives

20th June @ Horsforth

10th July @ Richmond  Followed by overnight stay and a round of golf Bedale on the 11th July for those who wish.

18th August @ Watertown Park

9th September @ at Malton & Norton.

ALL  FIXTURES ARE SUBJECT TO CONFIRMATION.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS:-

An overnight stay is being considered in Richmond and we shall hopefully play Bedale on the second day. Approximate cost will be £150 for BOTH days including golf.

A Pairs Competition will be held at one of the venues

The £1 cover fee will be added to the total cost and published together on the events page in the future to eliminate any confusion.
